Overview
Sutton Bingham reservoir is a great spot for anglers - you can fly fish for rainbow and brown trout from a boat or the bank with excellent top water trout fishing available both early and late in the season. Anglers also have the option of fishing most of the season with a floating line.
The reservoir is very well stocked with rainbows and brown trout averaging 2lb with some surprise double figure specimens too!
Among the most popular flies are damsels, gold ribbed hare’s ears and montanas, fished on the point, with smaller nymphs such as crunchers, pheasant tails, buzzers and diawl bachs and the its a nymph fished as droppers.
