Gartell Light Railway

Accessibility/ Disabled Access Information: 

Two of our coaches have been specially adapted to provide the facility to carry a wheelchair bound passenger and intending passengers can contact the railway in advance to confirm that these coaches will be in operation on the date of their intended visit or that they will be on a specific service. A ramp is available to facilitate easy wheelchair access to our 2 modified coaches. Our helpful staff will gladly provide assistance to load your wheelchair and, if necessary, make any other special arrangements to ensure that your visit to the GLR is a safe and enjoyable one.

Common Lane station offers step free access from our disabled parking spaces in our large level car park. One of the two platforms provides step free access from the ticket office, 'Pines' buffet and the station toilets.

We regret that there are no toilet facilities on any of our trains nor are there toilet facilities or step free access at our other stations - Pinesway Junction, Park Lane or Tower View.
