New Farm Restaurant
Overview
Jane & Crispin Bond have tastefully converted this lovely Ham stone building, originally a working farm run by Jane's family since the late 1800's, into a delightful restaurant with rooms that is family run with a relaxed ambience and a service personal but not intrusive.
At New Farm Restaurant we have three rooms available, all en-suite and tastefully finished to 4-star standard and you can be sure of a warm welcome. Complimentary tea and scones or Somerset apple cake are usually available or a free glass of wine with your meal if you dine with us.
If you are planning a mini-break call us to make your booking and we can offer discounts depending on your length of stay.
New Farm is the “ancestral home” of chef Jane Bond, her father, grandfather and great grandfather all lived and farmed here. Before that we are told that the building was a Carters residence (in Victorian times and before, a Carter was today’s equivalent of haulage & storage), we have deeds going back to 1735 for the sale of the building from Josiah Hebditch so it has been standing since at least then! Together with her husband Crispin and sister Sue they have converted this Hamstone building into a delightful bed & breakfast with attached restaurant. Conveniently situated with easy access to the A303, New Farm is an ideal base for exploring Somerset and beyond.
